I have an AEG Glass Induction hob, the left left handside plates work fine but the right hand side now has failed. Is there anything that is obvious to take a look at before I replace it.
spot on thats what i would have done, think your right with main hob, looked on my suppliers site carnt come up with you modle.

I have taken the control panel off the hob and connected it to the other side of the hob plates and nothing changes so I suspect the main hob as opposed to the control panel if this helps.

AEG, now days could be German or Italian parts , model number may be more usefull to help with problem. I can then look up parts you have in hob.
