How do i recode my Landrover Remote Control?

My Landrover Freelander Reote Controls have stopped working. I have replaced batteries in both of them and still no joy
It's a 1999 model

place your key into a door, press a lock button at remote with turn a key in a lock way togerther for 5 seconds. Take the key off..... finish..... it would work..

Problem solved. It was a faulty door solenoid in the drivers door. Replaced that and operated lock manually with door key and remote started working again.
