i can hear a rattling noise from my bmw 316 04 plate?

when acceralting and pulling away especially when goin from 1st gear to second, i can hear a tinny rattling noise???? any ideas

This could easily be a loose heat shield that surrounds your exhaust system - but you'll only be able to tell by groping underneath - when its cold! Enjoy.....
