How can I fix/replace punctured pressure washer hose?

I have an Alto pressure washer for which I’ve had two pressure hoses, both of which abraded and punctured after a couple of fairly brief periods of use, presumably due to vibration. This in spite of considerable effort to prevent hose/tarmac contact.

Can anyone answer any of the following questions?

Is this a common problem with pressure washers?
Do Alto machines have a poor record in this respect?
Is there any way to repair punctured pressure hoses?
Is the hose/washer connection a standard fitting common to various makes or is it necessary to purchase a hose specific to the manufacturer?
If the fittings differ, do any of the currently popular machines’ hoses fit Alto - I don’t see Alto products around these days?

I think Alto is of Danish manufacture. This model is a DIY machine rather than professional type but quite powerful. RRP was c.£190 when purchased some 5 years ago.

I’d be grateful for any relevant advice.

its not legal to repair pressure hoses anymore - they are specific to each machine and aren't usually interchangable. This can happen to any machine and isn't specific to yours. Its probably best to buy a new machine really - they are cheap enough for what they can do - but don't go searching for spares - it truly is a waste of time.
