Replacement gasket/seal for Regal Kitchen Pro K6743?

The gasket around the drive shaft in my otherwise-perfectly-functioning Regal Kitchen Pro K6743 just disintegrated. I understand that Regal has been out of the breadmaker business for quite some time. Has anyone been successful in finding alternative replacement parts? My local hardware guy pointed out that not just any gasket will do, as it needs to be safe for food and also heat tolerant. Any suggestions? I can't bear the thought of a working appliance going to the landfill just because of a 1-inch part.

You can get a new seal by ordering parts from almost any web site carrying your model number. I just bought one but am having difficulty in putting it together.

I had the same problem 2 years ago. I just ordered a new pan. I now have the same problem. I guess it's time to buy a new breadmaker since Regal is not around anymore.
