I've had a reclining chair with a pop out foot rest for about four years now and now problems. But now, the handle will not pop the foot rest out. After turning the chair on its side, it looks like the wire connected to the handle is no longer attached to whatever it needed to be attached to... any suggestions on how to fix it?

hi,just had the same problem with mine.dont know how to fix the handle,but got the foot rest up by giving a good hard pull on the foot rest.the foot rest will click back in,so just keep pulling it out.(tried it 1st while the chair was on its back,it might help).
hope this helps and saves you buying a new chair.
