flash error! pls backup data and format player?

when I turn the mp3 player on i receive a sign saying flash error! pls backup data and format player. I cannot do anything with it from there it wont even turn off what do I do?

This exact same thing happend to me. All you have to do is download all the song you used to have on there, again. Sucks I know :(
