How can I unlock or unfreeze my AIWA CA-DW700M Boom Box?

I purchased an AIWA CA-DW700M boom box second hand. When the unit gets unplugged it goes into a flashing mode. Only the CD button will be lit up and the #1 disc will flash as well as the vertical green bars for discs 1 - 7. I've somehow cleared this out before but cannot figure it out this time. Last time I did so, it seemed like it had to go through an assessment of each disc and clear itself out before going into normal operation. I achieved this twice before but do not know how.

Front Left & Back Right Feet (Staring at Front) Must be pressed down Then it Works.

CD Cycles because it is preventing your discs from being scratched (IE DOESNT WORK)

+1

On the underside are two little sensor buttons that can tell if the unit is on a flat surface. After reading this, I realised that the shelf mine is on had bowed enough that one of the buttons was no longer pressed. I put a board under it so that it was once again flat, and the little button was being pressed, and it works normally again.

My unit does the same. It goes thru a CD cycle for a couple minutes if power is ever lost. I checked the batteries, yes all 12 of them, doesn't matter if the batteries are there or not. Makes a good stationary radio though, even when all batteries are removed. (The remote still works when the 12 batteries are removed.) OK, so a valid solution is to allow for the 2-3 minutes of CD cycling if there was a power loss. Looking for more solutions, troubleshooting ideas.
