on the shaft opposite the motor their is a plastic wheel that travels in the grove of a safety sensor. It has broken and can't get sportcraft to pickup the phone to order one.

Call 973-347-3800 and tell whoever answers at corporate to put you through to parts directly. I have the same exact problem. Unfortunately, that wheel is part of the speed sensor assembly and it is on back order and won't ship until June 13th!!!!
