hi i have a 1.8 ls vectra 1998 it runs great untill i stop and it cuts out also the speedo works when it wants to ive tryed changing the air flow valve but when i put the new one on it cuts out straight away with the engine light on can anyone help thanks

hey jon yeah you do lift the trim cover off infront of the handbrake then slide the handbrake cover off towards the console with the handbrake released

thanks for that got one problem sorted it was the air mass sensor replaced and it works fine now will check speedo do i have to take the cover off from round the handbrake many thanks

Hey jon your prob is not the air flow but the camshaft sensor depending on the engine you have remove the timing belt cover and you should see by the cam sprockets the sensor sitting to either the left or right side nine time out of ten you can usually take it out re position it and connect it back up to the system and disconnect the battery (black only) for 15 mins and bobs your uncle failing that new sensor as for speedo on rear drums should find two sensors just above the handbrake lever and beside the mounting bolts check the conections
