ice maker had ice stuck, after removal would not restart

Mine did the same thing. I cleaned it out and it still didnt't work. I took it out and messed it for a few minutes and put it back in. the water goes in and freezes but nothing else happens

I'm having the same problem...bought the fridge in May,2004...didn't bother with the extended warranty, ha!
I tried swapping out the water filter...no luck...flushed out 4-5 gallons as suggested...still no luck. What was your solution?
I booked a service appointment...will cost me a mint!
