Can I interchange bar lengths on my chainsaw?

I would like to change my 14" chan bar to 10" bar. Is this feasible? Older McC/ 14"

Usually no problem at all - but don't try to shorten the chain yourself, and make sure that the new bar has the same end sprocket as the original.
