Buy a new DVD drive from Ebay. The Thompson drives are the worst and usually cheapest. They are easy to fit, Unscrew the 6 TORX screws (hidden under labels and rubber feet). There are only two screws holding the DVD drive into the XBOX (at the top-front) and make sure you unplug the cable.

You might need a new lens for it mate.Just try cleaning the lens but overall its probably the whole lens which needs replacing.
