Pilot light has gone out and will not re-ignite?

Pilot light on Potterton Puma 80 gas boiler has gone out. Tried to re-ignite but main burner will not burn. The pilot light goes off after 20 seconds.

oxy pilot may need cleaning or adjustment (or replacing) or has come loose where the thermocouple meets the gas valve or worst case it is a gas valve problem

it most likely just a thermocouple problem
