Potterton Flowsure+ Oil Fired Boiler Not Firing Up?

Above boiler will not fire up. Sounds like when control unit is turned on and off, a relay is switching (presumable the one that would intruct the unit to start), also sounds like water pump is running, but the burner unit (Riello) doesn't seem to do anything and there are no lock out or other warning lights showing. Any ideas?

i have same problem from time to time. same boiler. i usually get it if i've drained the central heating side (to add fernox) etc. but then sometimes it just does it.
i think its probably an air lock in the boiler.
turn off boiler take off top lid and open the grey/white bleed screws. then switch boiler on, and turn on a hot tap, and demand heat from central heating by turning up thermostat if you have one. repeat several times.let me know. cheers

have you tries the boiler stat?

or did the boiler overheat, ie. locate the thermal (high limit) trip switch and reset
