how can i fix my apple iphone mobile??

i upgraded my iphone to version 1.1.1.4 but then it sai i have to restore the settings i put it on restore then i checked after 5 minutes and it was jammed all i could see was white writing saying NEED CONFIGURATION i cant even switch my iphone off or on what do i do?
