at the bottom you can see that there in an inside sleeve and an outer sleeve. remove the knobs and don't lose the spring & white clicker from the grind adjustment. then pry apart the inner and outer shells at the base with thin but not sharp knives. at the front edge there are plastic clips molded in that latch the two shells together about 3/4" back from the front, and at the back they are about 30` around the semi-circular rear section on each side. the plastic is reasonably strong.
