Idle speed problem?

Hi
Can anyone help please.
I have a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 16V year 2000.
I know everything is electronic but any ideas how I can solve the following problem.
The idle speed keeps at 1500 revs which is doing my head in. In the old days you just turned a screw and that was it.
There doesn't appear to be any air leaks.
Any ideas please??

Thanks Daz for your help. The air flow meter is ok but I'll try buying a new sensor. Thanks again.

Probably the mass air flow meter, although this is in the wrong section,

The MAF is in between the air filter and your injector.

Only reason I know is I had the same problem, Also recommend looking at the crank sensor also as this controls the revs/idle speed. google your problem.

look at this website its brill, helped me out when i had problems with the same car.

All the best.
