Defrosting?

Whirlpool refridgerator when defrosting does not allow water to go to the drip pan to be evaporated. Instead it lets the water drain into the refridgerator compartment which eventually leaks out onto the floor. Apparently something is plugged/clogged but I can't find anything clogged or obstructed which is preventing the condensation from going to the drip pan.

JP,
Thanks for the help. Drain hole was located in the freezer floor which I found after taking it apart. Turned out the drain line was frozen which I managed to get thawed out after turning off fridge for 2-3 hrs. Thanks for the help.

Hello,

Some refridgerator drains are located in the back of the fresh food compartment. Others are in the freezer. If you don't see it in the fresh food compartment, just take apart the freezer floor and back wall and look around. My Kenmore which is Whirlpool made has the drain hole in the freezer floor in the back.
