Bought P reg Vauxhall Astra with R100/car200 Grundig in car cassette/radio. Display shows "SAFE" only and will not accept the code written on the Audio Manual front page? Either incorrect code or been entered to many times. Can you help please?

Try this.
Switch on the igntion, make sure the radio is off.
Hold the AS button and switch on the radio.
You should hear a bleep, and the radio should display a number and 4 dashes.
Enter the code, using button 1 for the first digit, button 2 for the second and so on.
When the correct code is on the display press and hold the AS button again. Hopefully if everything is ok, it should work

Try leaving it switched ON , undisturbed , for several hours and it may unlock itself automatically.You might have to leave it for over 11 hours depending on how many incorrect codes have been entered.
