Will not wash as the drum motor is not turning. Hotpoint Aquarius WD64?

The drum is not turning for wash,spin or drying.The motor brushes are about 25mm long and the belt is OK.It will empty the water so the pipes are not blocked.

Well after changing the timer with its control board and after getting the motor tested I then found a broken wire behind one of the cable ties that holds the main wireing loom to the right hand side of the top. £125 spent and I only needed a 5p connector block!

If the drum motor is not turning maybe its the starter for the motor (small cylindrical device)may be white plastic or metal - wires leading to motor. It is a capacitor providing a "kick" to get the AC motor going.Usually hung on side near top of machine.
