renault languna card key model wont start?

i tried to start my renault this morning about an hour after using it to find that there was no life init no response from start button there was only amobliser light on dash no other lights car windows still working and car lights button nothing else

poss card key fault,undo battery "leads"and put them together for about 20 seconds and place them on battery again to see if that does it the AA man tried that one!
New card key from renault is about £150.00,takes about a week to come from france.

Had you left it in gear? i know mine wont start if parked in reverse, need to take it out of gear first.
