How do i get cd autochanger to pop out? Cd err3. clio?

I have a clio with a cd autochanger that wont play cds and the autochanger wont pop out. the changer makes noises that it wants to come out but it does not actually pop out. the cd display shows cd err. its a clarion cd 6 stack player

have a similar problem with the cd autochanger in my saab from time to time. i find that unplugging the lead on the back of the autochanger then pluggng back in again seems to reset it and it works ok after that.
