How to replace door seal on Bosch WFL 2260 w/machine?

I have a nick in the door seal and have bought a new seal from the wholesaler. How would I replace the seal myself? There appears to be 2 plastic rings that hold the seal in place - is it a straightforward job?
Thanks
Steve

Nice one Alan - perfect instructions took 20 mins with one pair of hands plus a small clamp to do the inner seal.

Just a big thank you to Alan Davies - his instructions are spot on - you certainly need another pair of hands for the inner spring !
I was going to scrap my machine, until I read his notes and found a genuine seal on ebay for £15. - with next day delivery.
Took my time, chilled out with a cuppa, and saved myself over £400!
Nice one Alan.

This is good advice.

Sometimes though it's not quite as easy to put the seal/gasket back on.

Don't forget any drain holes MUST be at the bottom

The inner seal can be quite stiff and make your thumbs quite sore as it refuses to seat on the inner machine lip. I tend to have a hair dryer handy for this. The heating softens the rubber and makes it easier to seat.

Secondly take care fitting the outerband. It is very tight and if you use a tool to help ease it over the rubber, DONT use a screwdriver, back of an old spoon or fork handle or a bike tyre lever is better. A screw driver can penetrate the rubber and there you are buying another gasket!

Just wanted to add my endorsement of the instructions from Alan Davies - they worked for me too.
Glad I read them as I nearly tried to get the front panel of the machine off, thinking it was necessary, which it isnt!

I have just fitted a door seal to a Bosch WFL2260 as per Alan Davies' instructions .
I must have saved £40 plus for twenty minutes work.
Seal cost about £11.50 on ebay.
Thanks for the excellent advice.

The repair is very straight easy as the seal sits over a lip on the front panel and is retained by a metal band with a spring. Run our fingers round to find the spring and with a wide screwdriver blade gently lever up the band away from the rubber seal, just like doing a bike tyre. when all free, lift the seal free of the panel and invert it into the inner drum of the machine so you can get to the next bit!
The inner part of the seal sits over a plastic lip around the outer drum, using your fingers you can feel the next band holding the seal in place. it is a large circular spring and is quite tight to take off. push your finger between the seal and the lip from the inside to ease the seal and pring off togerther to start with. then oce you see the spring band just pull it gently away and then remove the seal.

Take care when re-fitting....make sure the inner seal is seated properly, push inside the drum so you can see what you are doing ......and then enlist the help of another pair of hands.treat the inner spring band just like a bike tyre going on a rim. get it started and then get someone else to hold the bit that is in place whilst you work it furnther round...they moving along and holding it further as you go. really strong finger and thumb preseure to get thr last bit on.
Outer band is very easy, make sure the seal is over the lip and in line with the inner with no twists. fit the sprung bit firts and the ease the rest of teh band over. check that the drum rotates and that all feels ok. check the door shuts and the seal fits snugly. Job done
