les paul standard, 2 pickups.................the neck pick up is super quiet and when you play around with the volume knob for the pick up it makes a hissing sound. also, all vol is off when volume knob is either all the way on or all the way off.

Sounds very much like the neck pick-up has gone open circuit and will need to be replaced.
