Murray push lawn mover starts and then shuts off?

I have a Murray Lawn Mover with B & G engine, it starts up fine but then shorts off. What is wrong and how can I fix it?

More than likely to be a fuel problem....if you are feeling brave you can take the carburettor off and give it a thorough clean - preferably using a proper carb cleaner and compressed air if you can.
