Hi

I have just bought a hotpoint ET7424 electric hob, and it is connected up to the mains. The touch controls work, but I don't know how to get it to heat up. I have followed the instructions in the manual exactly, but after about 10 secounds, it just turns itself off. Can anybody tell me how to operate this hob, Thanks

yo pal - sometimes it depends on what you clean the surface with - it can leave a residue that you will not see but can affect what the touch button see. use windolene glass cleaner with kitchen roll. should help
