Take it back for a full refund which you are entitled to under the Sale of Goods Acts.
Don't worry about the receipt too much. Durabrand is an Asda/Wallmart Own Brand and so you must have bought it from them. Secondly as it is Broadcast receiving Apparatus you will have filled in a form for the TV Licensing people and Asda with have a carbon copy of that.
