The salt dispenser no longer fills with water and the salt level stays the same. I suspect that the water softener has stopped working as it only washes properly with the more exotic 4 in 1 tablets. Could it be a blockage or do the softeners fail like this and have to be replaced? If so does anyone know how much it would be as a spare part please?

there are solenoids mounted to the water softner and they may of seized or electrically failed.price wise keep using 4 in 1 tabs
