It fills ok and then when it comes to the drum rotating nothing happens. It apears to complete he cycle but on opening the clothes are soakng wet and covered in soap powder

Check machine wont spin on spin program.
=====if spins then is pointing to a program failure or blockage in pump/drainage system, drain from filter and check for obstructions
=====if still, check carbon brush cartridges on motor. Remove and if shorter than 1/4 inch then take to local independant domestic retailer and ask for a new set (£20-25)
