My speakers do work - in my device list i see a sound card - but i do not have sound anymore - i may have removed the info i needed from add/remove programs
if you are running xp, I would recommend that you go intothe control panel and my devices and right click on the sound card and remove it then reboot your machine and let xp reinstall the software itself
