I know its not rocket Science but my Servis 900?

might be a rocket...I move into a flat with a servis 900.
It has 2 dials one for washer one for dryer..
I turn the dryer dial and nothing happens?
Is it broken?

The dial on the right is for the washing machine. The dial on the left is for drying. To dry, you need to have a half load of washing in and the 1/2 load bottom clicked in. Then it should dry.
