The usual technique is this...put the choke fully on, and hold the throttle fully open. Crank the engine until it pops once or twice. Then, take the choke off, keep the throttle open, crank briskly again and you should be away. Check that the air cleaner and spark plug are both clean at some time - they have a strong influence on starting.
