mic feedback?

I have tried several different mic's with my disco gear but always get feedback could this be due to cheap mixer?

Nothing to do with the mixer.
Keep the mic away from the front of the speakers.
Set up the speakers in front of your decks n mic and pointing outwards into the hall.
