My cousin gave me a APEX - 1130W because it would not load the DVD. She said it had been playing when lightning caused a power outage. There is no familiar burnt /fried electrical odor, the unit still turns off and on, door opens without a problem, screen saver functions, yes everything seems in order except the DVD will not load and after trying to load the message appears "No Disc". Any suggetions or ideas on what the problem may be and how to fix it. All help appreciated

i changed c22. it was 16v/1000uf. i put in 16v/1500uf. i should have increased the voltage also but the higher voltage one i had wouldn't fit. this happened to both my apex 1130w's. the fix worked for a couple of months, but both are down again now. it will buy you some time, but check back in case i fix the new problem.
