I have a cast iron boiler it is about 35 yrs old. I hit the reset button and black smoke came out of my exhaust pipe into my kitchen and out through the smoke stack on top of the house smelled awful I had hot water for three days now I hit the reset button two times and just the noise but no fire up to the boiler what do I do now?

time for a serviceman, is you are getting flue gasses and smoke back into your room (possible flue blockage)
a dangerous situation can occur, carbon monoxide can and does kill...dont mess.....
