Fix a broken recliner?

My La-Z-Boy recliner foot assembly will only lock in the full upright position, which is not my favorite position. I called the company and even though the assembly has a lifetime guarantee, they want to charge me $126.00 to send a repairman out to look at it. So I tried to look at the assembly myself and check it out. I found a metal pin/peg with a spring attached under the recliner. I'm thinking this is the problem but do not see where it belongs. Does anyone know where I could find a diagram of the assembly so I might fix it myself?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ebay has a lazyboy replacement handle. recessed. Just type in recliner handle in the search block and it will show up.
Here's the link.
