Canon Oven & Grill?

The main oven only lights and stays lit if the timer is working. The timer has gone kaput. How can I bypass the timer to make the oven independent?

when my oven has been on for a while and then open the door to check the contents the ignition keeps on going for ages so annoying ,its a canon cambridge double oven
