Our indesit dg61000w stopped opening the soap dispenser drawer. I didn't want to pay to get it fixed (we got it secondhand) so we just got dishwasher tablets instead and put 1 in the cutlery tray.
It seems to wash fine, you can't use the prewash program of course (there'd be no soap left for the main cycle), and the tablet shouldn't be incontact with silver items, otherwise...
No probs!
