My Aqurius 1100 is blowing the house fuse box trip after 5 mins?

I thought that it could be the heater but it is doing it even when just on spin. heater as suggested before should not be in use then.
Any ideas.
The plug fuse is OK and wiring is fine

Graham,

Last link was useless (just the user manual).
Have a look at

http://www.washerhelp.com/spare-parts-shop/Hotpoint-carbon-brushes.html
..for brush parts

AND

http://www.washerhelp.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=75&
..for a very similar story.

Graham,

Further and just in case you're handy.. here is a hard to find link to the repair books:

Graham,

We have an Aquarius 1000 doing the same. I've found elsewhere that this could be motor brush wear/carbon deposits shorthing and overheating. In fact I found the exact same problem where the machine would erratically trip the house supply. Chap changed the brushes and it was fine.

I'm no engineer - just researching.
