hi i got a second hand car cd player from a scrap yard and when i play a cd or radio i get a beep ever 5 seconds

If your reason for replacing the unit was a duff cd player - then fit the 'new' cd mechanism to your old head main circuit board (which presumably is coded).

About 1 hour all in and saves a lot of money !

NB. This relates to Pug 406 radio/cd known remedy.

Will require security code to reset. If there are no barcode serial numbers on the radio casing beginning with 70000, then it will have to be taken into a Decode Specialist for unlocking+recoding..Rather expensive thoough !....Better off taking it back to scrap yard and swopping for one with a working code
