it says no disc when a disc is in it does not turn at all

I have the same model and the same fault. I found the cause to be the small, insignificant switch, when the lid is closed it triggers the switch which is found in the bottom right hand corner of the disc recess, It wears and will not operate, try building the plastic lug on the lid out a little so that it makes the required contact.

hi there .
just for info
open the dvd player up by removing all the screws on the bottom panel
the warranty sticky labels will be damaged

when upside down, look at the white ribbon cable that connect the laser assembly to the mother board

make sure its actually fully pushed into its clip
to remove it or undo it you have to pull the plastic outside cover up a little the ribbon then just pulls out . wipe clean reseat it down as far as it will go , andf push down the outside clip again ..

this should now hopefully work
you can work on it upside down and open , but be careful of laser ..

cover with paper to protect eyes , you will hear if the motor is spinning and the head moving correctly , when you powerr it up

oh yes you might have to have the lid a little open to make it work ..

hope the info helps
it worked for me ...

bbyyeeee
