Honda GCV160 lawnmower?

My Honda GCV160 lawnmower wheel drive has quit on me, when I engage drive the wheels have stopped turning. What do I need to do?

Have you checked the cable that goes from the operating lever to the gearbox. These are like cycle brake cables so can be easily damaged. Replacements can be purchased from either the manufacturer or from your local garden machinery outlet. I had the same problem only this week, and the repair was complete in a few minutes.

The GCV160 relates to the model of the engine. If the mower is entirely Honda the mower model will either be HR--- or an Izzy. It may be possible that the engine is fitted to the body of a mower made by another manufacturer. In this case there should be some form of identification plate on the body. If you can find the mower model please list it and I will try to spot your entry to see if I can help
