My camera's sliding shutter covers haven't closed properly and now camera won't turn on or off. I've put it in the dock to make sure it's charged but no amount of fiddling and on/off will make it work. Can you help please?

It's a Kodak EasyShare LS443 with Schneider Kreuznach round the lense.

I have the same thing and an Error #45 which is not covered in the manual. I callled the support line and this model is not under warranty any longer. Their suggestion was to send it in and they(KODAK) will send a coupon for 15% off an upgrade. I love this camera it takes great photos. I am researching repair shops to see if it can be fixed. I wil let you know what they say
