I have bought the same speakers from argos and i got this reply from them when i e-mailed them and they did not work!

"I am sorry to read that the speakers are not working. I have looked in to your query and can confirm that no driver is required. Please make sure that the lead is plugged in the right socket or jack, this has a green ring round it. If you are still experiencing problems please take the item back to store for a replacement."
