Freesat CAM ?

Can you buy a Freesat CAM for a receiver that is not marked "Freesat"? Or does it really make a difference, I have a Comaq HD Receiver

There is no such thing. Freesat channels are FTA (Free To Air) that is to say unencrypted.

What makes a Freesat receiver unique (compared to other FTA receivers) is that it has the ability to receive and display the Freesat Electronic Program Guide (EPG).

Any FTA receiver can receiver the same channels as a Freesat receiver but it won't have the EPG. (Just Now * Next.)
