Halstead Finest - Heating comes on when in 'off' position?

My Halstead Finest Gold boiler heating is coming on and does not turn off, when the controller is set to the 'off' position. There are no leaks and no DHW at the time. The boiler should be just sitting waiting for a demand, but it comes on itself and does not even turn off thermostatically and have a rest; this is continuous heating. Thanks for any advice.

I've had this problem twice now (both in winter). On both occassion it was a short caused by water in the DHW Flow Control, dried it out and works fine.

Glad it's not just me. This only to ours happens when weather turns cold (works perfectly during summer). Had engineer out last winter to check it and could find nothing wrong.
Hope someone has the answer.

I would like to add that there is no room thermostat on my system.
