how can i fix my aeg cafamosa 225?

just bought this from ebay germany. on trying to make a cup of coffee only a couple of drops fell into the cup after the coffee had been ground . been in touch with seller who replied it may need descaling, obviously not pleased after buying it in good faith as a working unit
