installing lexmark 1200 series?

I have tried to install the lexmark 1200 series onto my new laptop with vista home premium and have not been able to get any shortcut to desktop, and if I try to print a internet explorer error message displays please help!!!

Ummm strange - I tried installing one of these printers to my Vista and could not even get it installed and I havd the disk it came with.

After three hours, I nearly chucked it out of the window!
