Diplomat hob continuous spark ignition?

Hi there, our hob (approx 3 years old) has developed a fault where the ignition keeps sparking every 10 second or so - any suggestions?

Hi Alan, on most of the hygena hobs, the button and spark generator where made together.It is a corgi engineer job as most have to come out of their housing to be repaired so a gas joint is broken.All the best.
